Precautions for straightening and stretching aluminum profiles

1. Uneven heat dissipation can cause horizontal bright spots on the surface of the aluminum profile, leading to material failure.
2. During the process of material extraction and stretching, it is important to avoid collisions, stacking, pulling, and entanglement between materials. Maintain gaps between each material.
3. Aluminum profiles need to be cooled to below 60 degrees Celsius before they can be straightened. Stretching at high temperatures is unsafe and can easily cause burns. Additionally, the internal stress of aluminum profiles has not been eliminated. If forced stretching is applied, it can cause defects such as bending and twisting during manual aging.
4. The stretching amount can only be controlled at 1%, which greatly tests the skills of straightening workers. Excessive stretching can cause the shape and position tolerances at both ends and in the middle of aluminum profiles to exceed the tolerance, and the surface can cause fish scale lines, a decrease in elongation, high hardness, and brittleness and large bending of the profile.
5. Pay attention to the stress conditions of small feet, thin teeth, long legs, curved surfaces, inclined surfaces, openings, and viewpoints of profiles with high aspect ratios, long overhanging walls, large arcs, significant wall thickness differences, and peculiar shapes, to avoid partial or point scale deformation, twisting, and spiraling of profiles.
6. Stretching tools are also important. Choosing appropriate stretching clamps, especially for materials with large openings, circular arcs, and large cantilevers, should consider the reasonable use of clamps.
